By subdividing the large full width bedroom with a stud wall; introducing the traditional terrace ’box’ bedroom and replacement of impractical previous ‘space saving’ staircase, this three bedroomed property was turned into a four bed family home with internal alterations only. A guest room and small office space now populate the light filled roof space. The new staircase acts as an elegant focal point with bespoke, practical in-built integral storage. These alterations were carried out in conjunction with a full property refurbishment and upgrade. A bespoke slender metal handrail adds a contemporary touch to the traditional main staircase - this was then referenced elsewhere in the project with subtle references of black (off setting with the main ‘minimalist’ white) found throughout.
